One of the most important qualities for a business student is to network with business professionals and be social with companies to broaden their opportunities for when they enter into the real world. On Wednesday, March 15, the College of Business put on an event called Networking night where Winona State University business students were able to meet 14 companies with internships and full time positions ready for college students.
The night consisted of walking around to all of the tables and speaking with the companies on what they do, what they have available, and was able to even give the companies resumes and contact information for certain positions that interested students. Some of the companies involved with the event were companies like Target, Wincraft, Fastenal, IBM, etc. This event was like a professional version of speed dating and it was great to connect with the professionals who could help students find the right fit outside of college with internships and jobs.
