The Create Your More spirit was alive and well at the 2019 Fall College of Business Induction Ceremony. Students of all majors who earned their spot in the College of Business gathered in the Somsen Auditorium to receive their induction into the college along with a picture and handshake from Dean Akbari himself. Speeches from students, faculty, and Dean Akbari welcomed students into the college and give their perspective on what it means to Create Your More.<\/p>\n
As the Dean\u2019s Project Leader I started the night off by welcoming students to the ceremony and giving them a run down on the exciting night ahead of them that will leave them with a symbol of the Create Your More spirit and a token of the community they are entering. Samuel Koch, Chair of the Dean\u2019s Advisory Board, enticed students to take every opportunity they could to be a part of something within the college and to take the first step to create their more. Dr. Jason Kight shared his view on choices and the admiration he had for the students who had taken their first step towards creating their more by choosing Winona State. Dean Akbari finished with a speech that left everyone feeling welcomed and excited for their journey ahead to create their more.<\/p>\n
After the ceremony concluded, the Engagement Center was buzzing with conversation. Newly inducted students were proudly sporting their pin they had just received and the faculty and staff were warmly congratulating them. Parents and friends of the inductees were gleaming with pride as they stood and sat next to their accomplished inductee. The evening was a success and it is only the beginning for those students in their journey to creating their more.<\/p>\n
