Here’s an opportunity to see how one Winona State alumna has been working in the industry as she starts on her career as a writer-director-producer: on Friday, March 12 the Film Studies Program is sponsoring a free virtual screening of Lauren Baker’s first feature film, Cohabitation (2020):
This free digital screening of Cohabitation will premiere at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 12. Barker will also appear for a live Q&A following the screening!
In Cohabitation, a former paramedic tries to live a low-key life to cope with her PTSD, but her new roommate has other plans – and a long-held vendetta against medical personnel. The film was featured at the 2020 Twin Cities Film Festival.
Director-writer-producer Lauren Barker earned her B.A. in English: Writing with a Theatre minor in 2013 from Winona State University; she then attended Vancouver Film School’s screenwriting program, where she graduated with honors.
